Santa's Workshop Makower Advent Calendar 

My “How to Guide” on how to create the Makower Advent Calendar Panel.

The great thing about this panel is there are instructions printed onto the top of the panel for a step by step guide. The most important thing you need to read and remember is that the dotted lines on the double pockets MUST NOT be cut!

  

Single pockets have solid gold lines all the way around 

 

Double pockets have a solid gold line around both pockets and a dotted folding line in the middle

Once you have cut out all the pockets, fold over the top of each pocket and iron in place; then stitch down. I have used a gold metallic thread which matches the gold outer line design. 

Here is a short video of how to prepare the double pockets ready for sewing as these are the most fiddly to prepare

I chose to make the double pockets in the same way as the single pockets to have continuity across the advent calendar, however, you can make them with a box pleat if desired like the instructions explain.
